Retro sneakers still exist
The designer has not finished retro sneakers. For spring and summer, many brands are adding to the refined sports seen in ready-to-wear, which exacerbates the Olympic sports fixation after fashion. Minimalists took the supreme dominance in Gucci, where a pair of box white pairs offset the slate grey tailoring ensemble. On the Miu Miu, the worn look continues to feature burgundy and navy-colored tap sneakers (don’t forget to compare with ankle socks!). Meanwhile, Proenza Schouler bought black and white graphics (already available runway style), while Stella McCartney reimagines boxing shoes as decorative textures. Loewe introduces a high-top version of its cult favorite ballerina – until one arrives you can buy the original low-top now!
Thong sandals
Forget the dirty streets for the time being. Thongs are shoes made for real life, so it is a staple in our spring/summer wardrobe. Shoppers previously told us that they were very excited about Bottega’s heels (Chic!), but if we had to make a snapshot decision, this could be A.Emery’s Blue Suede Flat, which contains two trends (blue is another).
Weaving
Leather flats with elastic shoes seen on Chloé, Jacquemus and Gabriela Hearst bring lightweight to spring shoes – braided on open shoes during shopping trends and don’t be afraid to go to color. As seen on the runway, Gabriela Hearst’s pointed style is produced in classic black and two multi-colors.
Flat leather sandals
This season is a season of flat sandals, but they have a more active appearance this spring/summer, with thicker, asymmetrical belts, colorful bead trim and cutouts. Put on clothes or pants to add edges.
A new lazy person
Loafers is abundance in the spring/summer 2025 collection, although what you see isn’t always available. Wrinkled leather and square toes define many new contours, adding a pre-cool element to the feminine look they designed. These directions are smaller than the loose shapes of Fall and Winter 2024, and they can be experimented without losing the plot. Jonathan Anderson’s vibrant boat shoes inspired Lace-Up Loafer expresses this perfectly, and the style is sure to be the most important item once the land is delivered in spring. Meanwhile, Tod’s ostrich leather shoelaces are decorated with a row of golden rings, while Prada gives us a completely penny-free view. Year of the Snake
Leopards and pythons have been on their necks since animal prints became popular last year. For spring, the latter seems to have surpassed the micro trend and become the main trend in collection concentration. Find fresh styles on Khaite, where Snakeskin has become the core print of the New York label – both on the runway in a permanent collection of seasons after season. If the novel shape makes too many statements, the slingback kitten heel or ballet plane is an easy way to do it.
Cool girl blocked
It’s only a matter of time before clogged sandals make a comeback. With Chloé’s platform wedges (new brown leather for spring), include the bohemian look in all glory, or close to the ground with more walking sandals. Looking for contemporary styling ideas: In Hermès, caramel leather clogs are folded back into leather trousers; in Ulla Johnson and Rachel Comey, low heel wood logs are rooted at the edges and open crochet.
Fashion girl pump
Borrelli-Persson builds on the idea of “soft power” in this season’s ready-to-wear collection, which Borrelli-Persson describes as “exciting, positive and feminine-friendly”, which makes sense. Suitable for fashion lovers, pumps celebrate personality and personal history. Khaite redesigned the idea of a toe cleavage with the smallest gap in front, showing only the hint of the second toe. Meanwhile, Prada fans have revived new and old-fashioned idols in the coming seasons – the icons in the picture reference 2023 favorites with wing tips. Elsewhere, Bottega Veneta sent a sculpture pump in the brand’s iconic braiding, expanding the inner universe of Italian houses. Loeffler Randall now has a similar braiding style. Rows and dry vans also come with smooth leather and classic shapes. Ferragamo’s kitten heels and Khaite’s asymmetric cut-out EVA pump collected from Resort 2025 both convey the strength of personality with Anplomb’s attitude.
