Earlier this year, Wes Gordon announced that he would travel to Madrid on a European holiday to bring the 2026 spring collection of Carolina Herrera, Carolina. Today, he revealed that the show will be held in the Mayor of Plaza, one of Spain’s most iconic landmarks, dating back to the 16th century.
“We’re so excited about it – I think it’s my favorite collection,” Gordon said on a recent call. “The mayor of the Plaza is indeed the epicenter of Madrid – both geographically and culturally and culturally) because it’s so magical, so I feel chicken-skinned about the prospect of showing there.” This is the third international exhibition of the New York-based label, which has previously staged a pre-gathering at the same iconic location in Latin America, a hill overlooking the statue of Christ the Redeemer in Rio de Janeiro, and the famous Mexican city Anahuacalli Museum designed by Mexico City, which is a museum.
According to Gordon’s custom, the 2026 spring series will also work with Spanish craftsmen and creatives. It will end a big party to celebrate the release of the brand’s latest fragrance, La Bomba. “I’m really lucky to have a good understanding of Madrid; I’ve been there many times working and enjoying and I’ve really fallen in love with it,” he said.
The brand also has a bit of homecoming feel, with Puig, the parent company of the brand, headquartered in Spain (although its headquarters are based in Barcelona). “In many ways, these destination performances are like gatherings for our family in Herrera, because it’s an opportunity to bring all the different parts of the business together, whether it’s perfume, beauty, accessories, glasses or fashion – ” “It’s going to be very romantic, very magical, very Madrid.” ”
